cartton kidsThere was a time in my writing “career” I envisioned myself the next Erma Bombeck (Hey, I’m a writer. We fabricate!). I love to laugh and enjoy life, so writing humorous material is right up my writing alley. I started this book when Jason and Jennifer were teenagers (All three of my children are now in their 30s). The original title was Is There Anything Harder than Raising Teens: Other than Finding a Parking Place at the Mall the Day after Thanksgiving (Yeah, the title needed shortening, and I don’t mean the kind we used when the cat got his head stuck in a bottle!).

When Jeff took his first pastorate in Mountain City, TN, I worked as a free-lance journalist for the local paper. The editor included excerpts of cartton kids playing“Raising Teens” as a column. One day, I may get back to seeing this book reach the publishing light of day, but until then, I hope you enjoy it. Even if you have no kids of your own, I’m sure you still remember what it was like to be one!
