Below you will find the current memory verse. I post a new one every two weeks.  If you learn one verse every other week, you will have memorized 26 verses by this time next year and 260 verses in the next ten years!

If you’re like me the hardest part of memorizing verses is remembering the “address” (ex. John 3:16). Anytime numbers are involved, my brain freezes up. That means I have to work a little bit harder. You might have to as well. But I promise, memorizing Scripture is an endeavor that will help you grow in grace!

If you didn’t board the memorizing boat at the beginning, just jump in and continue along with the rest of us. And no, we won’t dock anyone if she learns more than one verse per week! In fact, we might let you punch your boarding pass twice!

It helps to not only say the verses out loud but also to write them. Don’t worry about punctuation (Though I had a Bible professor, who counted off for that). And yes, you can substitute your own verses for any or all of the following. Just make sure you are memorizing God’s Word!

(All verses are taken from the King James Version of the Bible.)

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
